This is such a clever, fun story. I love your mini Time-Turners, and that Ron has got the magic wrong, and only Draco and Hermione realise and understand what it means. I love the way you tell it through Draco's slightly cynical eyes, giving the whole thing a madcap-ness which suits D&H so well.

And there are some brilliant lines:

"There is only one 'o' in lose," Granger pointed out.

Draco didn't mention the man smoked like a chimney and kept badly trained Crups. Some things are better left as a surprise.

"The owls are coming!" LOL.

"I always leave some room in my calendar for impromptu breaking and entering on Saturday nights."

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it (especially as it ended up being matched to your story).

I didn't realise the LOTR reference with the owls until you pointed it out - oops!

This was BEAUTIFULLY done! I found myself laughing hard enough to stop breathing a few times. There were SO many funny lines. This bit in particular had me going:

Granger didn't look mad, but Draco had learnt these things weren't always obvious to the uninitiated. (Black family gatherings were always tricky).

Oh, my sainted cats. LOL SLOL AMLOL

And this one:
She started writing her reply, pressing down her revolting pen so hard that Draco wouldn't be at all surprised to see "Dear Kingsley..." etched into the desk afterwards.

I could picture this so clearly. Ow, my sides.

Oh, the snark and cynicism. Oh, the banter. Oh, the magic! Mini Time-Turners indeed. Oh my gosh - Ron can be such a putz.

I loved it all SO much. I can't wait to read the longer PDF version.

Thank you for writing this!

I'm delighted you enjoyed it, I had a blast writing it! That's why the 8k word cap was a distant memory by the time I finished...

Oh, goodness, this was BRILLIANT! So many fantastic lines in this fic, such a fun premise, and that ending...lovely!

Here were my favourite quips:

She was irritatingly good at a lot of things. <-- PERFECTLY sums up Hermione Granger in only 8 words. Sums up Draco Malfoy's feelings about her in that same brief summary, too.

Hermione would probably rather self-combust than bring him lunch. - Buahahaha, so true!

It opened slowly, only darkness showing inside.
"Yes!" Hermione hissed.
"Famous last words, Granger."
- And isn't that just the truth? Murphy's law in the HP universe should be par for the course.

Truly, there are so many amazing lines in this story. I could spent all day basking in this tale. It's like a lemon sorbet on a hot day...THAT refreshing and satisfying.

THANK YOU for sharing, dahling!!!

ROTFL! i can't believe george would let ron invent anything, esp. not to sell--he must've been incapacitated somehow. and isn't it just like ron to muck up what could've been a neat invention. *sigh* and LOL to the little spelling lesson in the middle of the story!

It would have been Mrs Weasley of course, wearing George down by making him give his little brother a turn at it. You don't raise seven children without a vehement commitment to fairness :)

"I always leave some room in my calendar for impromptu breaking and entering on Saturday nights."
Best line in any fic EVER.
I loved every moment of this hilarious oddity. The characterisation, the slow crawl uphill that D/Hr made to save the world lol - awesome. Brilliant. :)
