This is an amazingly creative idea. I've always wondered how things would have been different had there been that handshake. I love everything about this story. And that it was Harry's doing. Well done. This is a story to be proud of. :D

Exceptional mystery with exceptional execution! This is so brilliantly well-done, with such stellar writing. I adore a story that makes me stop and think, "wait... what?" and yours fits just perfectly for that. The beautiful portrayals of Malfoy's bravery and friendship along the journey of the past brought tears to my eyes. It seems to be so exactly how things should have played out, if only... Well done, my dear!

a most interesting and unusual way for her to fall in love! and harry's need to be the saviour yet again is very in-character. i like how hermione isn't so opposed to the whole idea by the time she and harry meet on the train. enjoyed this AU!

This was an excellent read. I enjoyed it from beginning to end! I loved seeing the "what if" scenario played out this way, and it makes me wish even more that Harry had shaken Draco's hand way back when they were eleven years old.

As much as I enjoyed your tale and am thrilled that it ended happily, I couldn't help but feel a slight chill at Hermione's determinedness to get back to "her life". She showed a ruthless tenacity that we have seen in her before and which never fails to unsettle me. You did well showing that side of her and the slight Slytherin tendencies that she harbors within. I'm very glad she ran into Harry and they managed to talk, because I did have a real fear for this GOOD version of Draco and sweet little Julius for a while.

By the way, I liked their son having a Latin first name and a celestial middle name. :) Nice nod both to Draco's father's name and to the Black family's naming traditions.

Great story!
