Hi! It's a little unclear whether you want us to post all of our nominations in one comment using the form for each or a separate comment for each nomination. I have several collected already, but I want to know if I should save them up for when I have all I wish to nominate complete or post for each cat as I go.

Are fanvids considered art?

From my point of view, I would say that fanvids are definitely a form of art. However, I don't think it would be possible to have them nominated in the same category as manips, drawings, etc. It would be difficult to compare them to each other when voting.

If there were a large enough interest, we could possibly add a category for fanvids completed in 2009, but I don't know if there are enough of them out there to warrant creating a new category. I will consult with my co-mods and see what they think. In the meantime, you can go ahead and nominate any other art you wanted to nominate. :)

After discussing it with my co-mods, we've agreed that fanvids are not eligible for this round - only still art like manips, drawings, paintings, etc. However, we are most likely going to recognize fanvids in the future, since they are a media that has not been awarded in this community before. Just let me know if you have any other questions! :)
