If you want a tear-jerking one-shot, I'd rec Dead Girls Don't Matter by Tonya, which is shamelessly heart-rendering.

In fact, I'd recommend it to everybody. =D

That story is amazing, actually forget that. There are no words to describe that story and how it can affect you. Really, I felt so changed after that. Weird.

Oh God yes. All three of those. Spoils of War is one of those where you think...I should be squicked by this...but it's just so beautifully written...and Cyropi...man she rocks! The girl in the red tree reaching for the boy in the green tree. Oh God...Go read it now!

Oooh my, Spoils of the war. Crying like a baby and looking like something a baby just spat out, that was I was! Fully second that one. Though yes - squick radar at hand, soldiers.

What's this Cursed? Aaah, it seems I'd have to be a good fangirl and read it now. I'm slightly scared now though...

As for my own contribution - all I can come up with at the moment is gravidy's famoosh Afterimage. I know there's a veeerry slim chance you haven't read it already, BUT I'll say this for the sake of saying- I know it's not dark the whole way through, but there's enough to punch tears out of you like living daylight :)

If you are looking for a short one then I would absolutely recommend the ones above, those are amazing. Otherwise for a long fic...I would say without a doubt: The Dragon, The Lion and the Serpent oh my goodness is that an amazing angsty story that will leave you breathless. Wow, now I need to go read it again. lol.

Try Sunday Masquerade by vexia

Counting to none by nopejr is also wonderful.

The November Rain trilogy (i.Chimera's Touch ii.This Mortal Coil iii.Burning Eden) by Mexx is also good.

Impeccable by zarah joyce is another sad fic.

Letters and Starry, Starry Night by Archangela.

Blood Stained Apologies by Jade II.

I know that's more than one, but all of the fics above are wonderful angst fics and I recommend everyone to check them out. They're all one-shots so it won't take long to read at all.

I absolutely love Roundabout as well. I truelly just kept hoping for a sequel but it never came and so the story still continues to bring tears to my eyes.
