Today I went on Gravidy's profiles and I found that all of her stories are gone. Does anyone know if she has the intention of posting them somewhere again?
OMG THE GOD OF THE LOST LINKS ARE ALL DEAD FFFFFUUUUUU
So are the links for the Crimson Jess! I loved her DBZ fics, too. D,: Where will I be able to read them?
The other DMHG stories I could find on dmhgficexchange.livejournal.com, and the Lions of December on qo-ficexchange.livejournal.com - I just followed the links on dhr.accio.nu.
Oh no, I hate it when authors and fics disappear and we dont know why, I hope somebody can enlighten us for the reason with this one.
I have PDF files of The Crimson Jess, The Lions of December, The Beggar Thief and The God of the Lost. I was a bit blase about the whole ffn fails recently but when Harry Potter and the Fight For The Malfoy Empire (which I adored) suddenly vanished I decided it was time to start saving copies and found a way to save my whole ffn favourites list pretty easily, I've not got around to keeping it as an up to date list yet but anything on my ffn favourites that was complete, abondoned or a WIP as at 26/06/12 I have saved.
egad, sorry for the late reply but could you send me The God of the Lost by any chance, please? I've never actually read it whole and I know it's a fantastic story. Please? (maeliciously {at} gmail.com)
I've actually began saving my favorite fics some time ago too, I'm too scared they'd be lost forever one day!
I may also have a copy of some of her stories on my laptop, but I'll have to check and see. I was saving some of my favorites from ffn, but it got extremely tedious. If there's an easier way to save from that site I'd love to know it!
I know what you mean, I did have a few select fics already saved but with over 700 fics on my list I was at a loss as to how to save them all without doing it manually and I'd rather have them all saved and then cut them down than lose any more. Anyway, I browsed the forums of the FanFic Downloader I generally use (you have to actually install this rather than grab the file like on FlagFic) and found my answer. Heres the link to that forum post but I'll type it up anyhow. (This only works using FireFox but there must be alternatives out there for other browsers)
- First, install the FanFic Downloader if you dont already have it - Install this FireFox addon to extract the links from your ffn profile - Link Gopher - Right click on Links in the FireFox addon toolbar and select 'Extract by filter' and input http://www.fanfiction.net/s/ which will grab just all the fic webpage links

Wow. That's just devastating! Gravidy is one of my all-time favorite writers, period. I'm sad to lose the work, but, mainly, I just hope she's okay

When I found that every personal account of hers (ff.net, livejournal and AFF too) were empty or deleted I was confused. I remember that she still have the intention to post the epilogue of Stone Dragons, so it seemed she was still interested in fandom.
Thanks for pointing me to that. I really appreciate it.
A Stone Dragons epilogue would have been awesome. That is one of my favorite stories by her, a truly dark and wonderful piece of prose. She had also posted, albeit a few years ago, that she kept working on GotL, although she wasn't happy with how that work was going. For that matter, she participated in the last dmhgfixexchange, a little over a year ago. I'm sorry we'll never see the finishing touches on those two works, but I will say that Stone Dragons seems perfect to me, as it is, and I'm deeply grateful that she has not yet sought to remove the exchange fics from the 'net.
You're welcome...Inlaws is one of my favourite stories, it makes me laugh every time.
And yes, she is (or was...) one of the best 'dark' writer, when I read The Crimson Jess years ago I was completely chilled. So I understand that she could have plenty of reasons to take down all her writings and I know that most of them are still available someway, but I can't help but feeling a bit sad, if this makes any sense.
By the way, just out of curiosity, I checked the Web Machine and I found a link for The Crimson Jess here.
