Hey guys!
I've been bothered by this fic for a really long time now...if the below sounds familiar to any of you please comment!
As far as I can remember, it's a oneshot. Somehow, Draco keeps giving Hermione dolls (one every day they have been together, as a token of 'friendship' I think), and Hermione accepts them each time. She tells Draco she loves him, but Draco doesn't answer, but instead gives her a doll. Then one day, Hermione sees Pansy giving Draco a doll, and Draco receives it from her happily. He doesn't know Hermione is watching, but Hermione realises that the dolls were actually Pansy's. In a fit of anger, she flings the doll Draco gives her (after receiving it from Pansy and after Pansy is gone) across the road and yells some I-can't-remember-what to Draco. Draco keeps silent, but instead crosses the street to retrieve the doll. What he doesn't see is a truck heading his way. Hermione screams in a warning, but it's too late- the truck hits Draco. He dies.
Weeks later, Hermione is still mourning over the death of Draco. For some apparent reason which I can't remember either, she keeps counting the dolls Draco had given her over the years. Hermione cries, and takes a doll and hugs it. Suddenly, Draco's voice emits from the doll- "I love you." Hermione is shocked and drops the doll (I think). She picks up another doll, and squeezes its middle, and hears Draco's voice again, saying "I love you." Hermione realises that every single doll Draco had given her over the years actually had Draco's voice saying "I love you", because he had wanted to say it to her all the while but was too shy to do it in front of her, instead using the dolls as a medium to tell her his feelings. Finally, when Hermione picks up the last doll, the doll Draco gave her on the day he died, with his bloodstains still on the doll, Draco's voice comes out of it and says a whole string of stuff which I can't remember too clearly (something about both of them being together for I-don't-know-how-many days, and that he loves her). Hermione breaks down and says she loves Draco. The story ends with Draco looking down at Hermione from heaven, and saying "I love you too, Hermione."

It was a really really really beautiful oneshot, one of those I really loved. I read it on fanfiction.net, so if anyone chances upon it, please tell me! I'd love to read it again :D
Oh and if anyone has nice oneshots to rec that DO NOT HAVE ANY SMUT IN THEM (gosh, I don't exactly like smut), that are as beautiful and moving as the one above, please also comment! (and this is for the benefit of the rest of the community as well :))
