I'm a total Draco/Hermione newbie. For years--years--I have been a Harry/Draco shipper, but lately I've just been in the mood for something completely new

Anything by AkashatheKitty, especially Silencio and The Bracelet (newly finished, you lucky thing!). Find her on livejournal - http://akashathekitty.livejournal.com/ - the links are on the righthand side.
http://dramione.org/ is probably one of the most recognised Draco/Hermione archives - any of the featured stories on there is pretty universally read and loved.
floorcoaster is another National Dramione Treasure - if you haven't started yet, I'd highly recommend making We Learned the Sea your first D/Hr fic. It's a lot of people's all-time favorite, and certainly one of mine.
Sage is another very popular writer (for good reason, of course) - it's not complete on here, but check out The Fallout.
Thanks for joining us! I think there's certainly some overlap between dramione and H/D, in terms of the kind of stories you'll find.
Thanks so much for the recs! I'll definitely check them out. I'm hoping to find some amazing stories, because I just find they're so hard to come by. I feel like I've read all the best H/D stories out there and that's part of the reason I've joined you guys over here =)
I have to agree with the above commenter. floorcoaster/luckei1 is a legend. And 'We Learned the Sea' is my all-time favorite fanfiction in the world! Her stories are really great, especially with developing Hermione and Draco in such a unique way that is hers alone. :)
There's also AnneM. Oliver who has great Dramione stories and is pretty popular.
I will read pretty well anything as long as it is well-written, which I find is hard to come by.
I really like things to be realistic (as much as possible, considering the pairings), post-Hogwarts, and I don't like miraculously "nice" Draco. If he's going to be some kind, magnanimous person then I need proof and a long, gruelling journey towards making that happen. My favourite kind of Draco has him somewhat vulnerable but with a frosty exterior. And for the love of God, if he has a ponytail there's a good chance I won't read the story.
