Hmmmm. Personally, I think Lucius may be protesting a bit too much. Maybe because it *is* real. Maybe not.

Idea of a Malfoy without money is still intriguing...in a self-made man kind of way. Would probably do him a world of good.

Thanks for the update, hope you'll have a good holiday (assuming thats why/where you're going)!

Methinks the Death Eater doth protest too much? ;) Maybe. Who knows? ;)

I'm sure that a Malfoy without money isn't a new concept, though. Still, I can hardly see how he would be able to have access to it. ;) And yeah, having to actually think more about that stuff will probably help him become less of a spoiled brat. ;)

And yeah, going on a holiday, so thank you :)

On the idea of Malfoy not having money. It makes it very real. I dunno how to explain it, but it definitely adds even more depth to his character.

Maybe it was the way you worded it. It really could have turned out cliched, taking his riches away. Somehow it wasn't. That line really stood out for me. Also made me want to go give him a hug.

He becomes more like the rest of us, you mean? Adds growth, perhaps? :)

Well, I'm sure that in one way or another, taking away his money has been done a million times before. It wasn't really something I set out to do, per se. It was just a consequence of everything else, you know? The natural conclusion of severing ties with his old life.

And I'm sure Draco likes hugs. Or, well, maybe not. Who knows? XD

Yes yes! It forces him to grow. Besides falling in love or whatever, it makes him change. It certainly puts things into perspective. And a mature Draco is SO attractive.

Kinda had a moment when I read of the bottom reviews. This is the last update until you get back from your fabulous trip? ..... *bawls* I thought you would more up before you left *sniff*

Oh, there'll be one more, barring any impending disaster. So don't fret :)

What, no bracelet in July? What will I do to keep me from boredom during my internship?

But it certainly was nice to have another update so soon and one with such a turn plotwise, too. I never expected Lucius to show up. It's really quite interesting, especially since he really seems to want to be with his family. Most fics just have him be the abusive follower of Voldemort.

Draco deciding to stay at Hogwarts really wasn't much of a surprise, rather a confirmation of all his character development. It's going to be interesting to see what Hermione will have to say about all that once she wakes up. Assuming Draco actually tells her for once what's been going on...

Oh, and with all the Lucius drama I almost forgot, but I LOVED the Blaise/Ginny bit. Not that I can see them together now, Blaise seems to be too hung up on Tracey still and Ginny obviously has Harry, but it sure is interesting that they used to have something. Very interesting.

Thanks for the quick update. Have fun on your holiday,
Kalina

Aww, poor baby ;) I'm sure there's a ton of fics you haven't already read. ;D

Yeah, I don't like characters that are just evil or unlikeable without any real reason or explanation. I spent a LOT of time thinking about Lucius and I'm aware that he might be a bit "tame", but he just strikes me as someone who would indeed try to come and collect his son if he had the chance. :)

Heeh, yeah, I was aware that there'd probably be a ton of B/G shipping once I introduced this bit, but you have it right the way you see it. There was something rather shallow once and neither of them would be interested in pursuing it at this point. Still, what it does add is an insight into the characters and their actions. Mostly Ginny and her actions. Besides, it was fun to do. ;)
