Hey people,

Just thought I'd give you all an update on a hotly debated issue.

Hermione's middle name has changed.

JKR changed Hermione's middle name in the seventh book because she did not want Herms to have the same middle name as Delores Umbridge. Umbridge's middle name is Jane.

Hermione's middle name is now Jean.

Weird, I would have changed the middle name of Umbitch Umbridge instead, cause we don't care about her... lol But it's funny that you choose Jean before she changed it !

to me, it would have made more sense to change Umbridge's middle name instead of Hermione's, she's one of the main characters, you can't change the name like that at the end of the saga...

I think it also might have had something to do with...JKR's daughter Mackenzie's middle name is Jean.

I really thought that was a dumb move. I mean, it was already established as Hermione's middle name. Shoulda just picked a diff one for Umbridge.
