"The Pandorica Opens" broke my brain, so I decided to finish and post my "Vincent and the Doctor" picspam. There are spoilers herein, obviously.

As someone who battles with depression and anxiety, I have a very strong attachment to this episode and now, perhaps by extension, Vincent Van Gogh. A friend of phiremangston said that it felt like a hug -- and it did

I loved this episode....all that was missing was the song 'Vincent (Starry Starry Night)' by Don McLean

I love that song, and I agree -- can't lie, I was waiting for it to show up. XD

I was sure it would have at least been background music at the end but alas no.

Van Gogh has long been my favorite artist....I had posters of his paintings on my walls as a teenager (next to my unicorns). That love has never gone away and this episode felt like a postcard just for me. It was great!

My main art history education has been in Renaissance art so I'm less familiar with Impressionists, but I'm definitely falling in love.

It was a beautiful episode. Definitely up where in my Top Ten. The only Eleven episode to make it so far!

I was hoping they'd use Starry Starry Night at some point. I won't lie. Especially Josh Groban's rendition, lovely. But, I imagined it ... good enough for me.

I also loved one scene particularly - you capped some of it - where we see the night sky and we see how Vincent sees it. That, too me, was the most touching part, to see the world how he saw it, hypothetically.
