Oh, man, that virus! I got it last week, and it did the exact same thing, down to totalling the recovery partition - fortunately I had a computer-savvy friend on hand who was willing to help me back up my data and reboot Windows. (But that is why I am now using OpenOffice and GIMP instead of Office and Photoshop.)
