It's great to have a fic focusing on the youth of the Stormhold brothers. And this one is excellent! Your Septimus is completely IC, and I love the way he devices his plan to kill Sextus based on a nightmare.

I loved it! poor Septimus who can't evade his brothers even in his sleep.

I wonder if Stormhold was a prosperous kingdom if all of its rulers' psyche was devastated in their early years by constant alert which eventually grows to be... paranoya?
