Rating: G
Character/Fandom: Harmony Kendell/Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Word Count: ~400

When she was turned, Harmony lost all of her pretty little things. Her parents, thinking she was dead, gave most of her clothes away to charity. Nothing bothered Harmony more than seeing a homeless woman wearing the jacket she’d bought during one of her many visits to Beverly Hills.

She made it her mission to get everything back. Stalking seemed like the most logical plan so she took to stalking people coming out of the local shelter. Whenever she saw someone wearing something she’d owned, she attacked and killed them. Within a few months, she had most of her things back.

It was a fall night when her friend Rich came up with the plan to break into an old bookstore. He claimed there were books there with spells in them. And, according to him, the spells would help with their little Slayer problem. Harmony hated Buffy and was all for causing her pain.

The break in didn’t go as planned and Rich ended up with a stake to his heart. After rolling her eyes and brushing his dust off her jacket, Harmony ordered her ‘gang’ to grab whatever they could. They ended up getting one box of books before the owner chased them out with a cross.

Harmony was disappointed and knew there was a chance they would never get the books they needed to take the Slayer out. Her gang had failed again.

Feeling dejected, Harmony picked up the one box they’d gotten and saw it’d been donated to the store by a local family. She rolled her eyes and rummaged through it. At the very bottom, was a pink book with a white kitten on it. Harmony immediately recognized it as the diary she’d kept in high school. The nerve of her parents to give it away!

She started to flip through it, laughing at what she’d written. She knew she had been the smartest girl in school, much smarter than Willow. There was no way the red-headed freak could’ve came up with a rating system for ugly shoes!

Harmony stayed up all night, reading the entries of her high school life. When she got to the last page, she sighed and closed it. Her trip down memory lane had done nothing to make her feel better.

It only made her realized she missed being a human and she missed being friends with Cordy.
