What gets me is that this clueless customer care rep thinks she understands the business reasons why Rogers has decided to force existing customers with contracts into paying more for their iPhones. She doesn't. All that crap about "revenue" she was spouting to you is essentially meaningless nonsense. When I got my iPhone, I signed a new contract, and it would have been just as easy for you to do the same...it's essentially red tape.
I would recommend you investigate Fido. They sell iPhones, but have different data plans and stuff. It may be worth switching, even though they are owned by Rogers.
