Last night tinkerspink and I were discussing our driving related pet-peeves. Now, I know I'm far from the world's best driver. I have bad road habits. But that doesn't stop my from judging others for their automotive faux-pas...s.

Turn signal gaffs irk me more than any other. Those blinky lights are a great feature. We should all use them. Especially

When you are leaving the Appleby Go Station parking lot, the exit is a two-lane road. Most people turn left, so the left-hand lane usually has a massive lineup, while the right-hand lane is usually completely empty (it helps that it's much easier to turn right during rush hour).

My pet peeve is when some jackass drives up the right lane to the exit and then turns left. From the right hand lane! Basically budding in front of everyone.

I think it offends me more because of my Canadian queueing-etiquette than because it is insanely dangerous.

A related pet peeve is when you are stuck in traffic and some shit wizard zooms by on the soft shoulder. You're not helping the traffic situation pal!

Turn signal failure is a big one. Why do people find this tiny little lever so challenging?

But I have a new one; driving ridiculously slowly while ignoring all road signs. Yesterday, I was stuck behind a guy, let's call him Fogey, who was doing 35 in a 50 zone. Okay, a little extra caution isn't always a bad thing. And I can be patient...for a while anyway. But when he blew through two stop signs? WTF?

UNLAWFUL!!! hello!!!!! i think everyone should have to sit down and re-read the handy rules of the road book in front of the nice people who give you a new licence every 5 years or so. no test, just read the F*****N book!

YES!! Not to mention that, at least here, it's illegal. And people do it all the time.

You probably don't want to get me started on this topic, so I'll just list my top pet peeve, mostly because it's so dangerous: people who speed through school zones! I mean, it's 1/2 a mile. What the hell is so important you have to speed and risk hitting a child?? Gah!
