You know... I've never done that! It's definitely worth a try. I am tired of wading through a heap of (sometimes cat pee scented) wool sweaters and jeans and work clothes on my way to my bed. It's not too romantic. (Thankfully my gf lives out of town and rarely makes surprise appearances.) I've already tried the shove it all into the closet and close the door fast routine, but I have recently gathered the strength to admit that the technique is only good for a couple days of shameful repression and after that it just fosters a cycle of not wanting to ever open my closet. ::sigh:: It's so hard being a femme with a large and varied wardrobe. Oh, boo hoo!
Maybe I'll buy some fancy Ikea storage boxes! faciness makes the idea more appealing.
you probably know, but i read an article recently recommending that sequined or other detailed stuff be wrapped in tissue paper so they don't snag on the other clothes. I feel your pain, my clothing storage area is pretty small and taken but by like five different kinds of jackets, what can you do, varied climate. At least my parka squishes kind of compactly :)
Plus moth bolls or something gently scented (mmm sandalwood)...
