Expect your lives to be
wretched and desolate; and exercise
patient suffering, but not enough to ennoble.

Be sure you appear somewhat
damaged, your precise flaw hidden enough
to require research.

If that is not possible,
at least be picturedsque, preferably
behind an obscuring fence.
