Hey dear, I've had a bite that was determined to be a spider bite before. Well, I've actually had two.... It was a nickel to quarter sized red bump that produced heat. I never did anything to either of them and they went away on their own after a little while, but when I was asking people if they knew what they were, my manager at work told me her daughter had one before that turned black (I guess, different spider, different results), so she had to take her to the doctor. Just make sure to notice if it turns black (hard to miss, should be hard to imagine). If it stops producing heat and it's still red, that means it's healing and that's a *good* thing. I wouldn't worry about it unless something changes drastically. If the soreness hasn't spread past the initial bite and immediate surrounding areas, you'll probably be just fine :).
