That's simple. Vote for me.

I don't think that'd be a good idea.

You don't want to hurt one of them over the other, right?

Right. I don't want to upset either of them or make them mad.

Do you have to vote? Otherwise try and think objectively. Which one really is the better candidate for whatever it is?

I dunno, they'd probably both be pretty good at it.

Then can you cast an anonymous vote? Neither of them would have to know. Or don't vote at all. Or vote for a minority that won't favour either of them. There must be ways around it.

I'm not that good at lying, I dunno if I'd be able to keep it from them. And I guess I could vote for Brittany - she's the only other one running for it - but then I'd feel like I'm-- I dunno, betraying both of them?

They're running against one another?

Yeah. They're both pretty desperate for extra-curricular stuff to go on their transcripts so they can get into college.

...That is hard. I'm sure they understand what kind of position you're in?

Yeah, but-- they're both the kind of people who'd want the support, you know? And I don't mean that in a nasty way.

Why do you have to choose? Tell your girlfriend you will vote for her, and your brother that you will vote for him.

I can't lie to their faces like that. Besides, what if they talk to each other about it and end up finding out?

[that's exactly what Eris wanted.] Make sure they don't find out and learn to lie.

I really don't think that's a good idea.

From what I remember in high school, they're really not hardcore on security for that sort of thing. Just grab two ballots and vote once for both of them?

pinball_baby October 10 2011, 08:30:26 UTC
I never thought of that! That's probably the best suggestion anyone's had.

Honestly? I ran for Homecoming Queen in high school against Cordelia, who was... [ She's hesitating. ] She was sort of our friend and Xander's girlfriend, but we ended up basically splitting our votes and the other two girls actually ended up tying votes for first place. Not a fun experience anyway, I wouldn't recommend running against people you know in anything.

Aw, that sucks.

I was surprised when Rachel said she was doing this. I mean, we were both totally on Team Kurt before, plus they've become pretty good friends.
