Alright, now that I'm not in the middle of deadlines ["intergalactic crises"], I ... probably should introduce myself properly, shouldn't I.

I'm Kyle, I'm ["a space cop with a nifty suit"] a freelance artist between jobs. ["actually I exiled myself from Earth after my assistant was a victim of gay bashing and I couldn't do anything to help"]

So, uh ( Read more... )

[So how about that guy in the chains and faceplate smiling pleasantly.]

No matter what you access it with, be it book or computer, the purpose of this place appears to be making connections.

[WELLITY. Kyle can say he's honestly seen weirder, but still.]

Well, not a bad thing, actually. Making connections does help people understand each other better.

They can be useful, at times. Not to mention a relief for stress.

That's true. Unless you're the type that doesn't like being around people to relieve their stress.

It's hope.

That's an interesting way of putting it. How so, if you don't mind me asking?

Because it's shown me that there is more than just my own small world.

That would do it, wouldn't it. But it's good that you know there's more to the universe. Nobody should be restricted from knowing the world around them, if you ask me.

A place where people talk, but some strange things happen.

Define "strange". I'd think being able to connect across different worlds would be strange enough, honestly.

Well, at one point it switched people's bodies for a few days.

Body-swapping? That's ... huh. Never heard of a site that did that before.

That's pretty much what it's about.

Wouldn't think it'd be as simple as that, I mean, I'v read way too many stories where things are too good to be true and come back to bite someone later on.

Has anyone told you about the viruses?

Unless you're talking about computer viruses? Nope.

It's about being a pain. If you're working, it still demands you make small talk immediately if you want to use your computer again. If you've got something to do, it has no problem forcing itself into your schedule through viruses that'll keep you from your other tasks half of the time.

I can see where that would be a problem, especially considering that first one is what happened to me, but at the same time, if you end up making time for it, maybe it's not so bad?

It's something you don't get much choice in. Either you make time for it, or you lose infinite time just trying to avoid making time for it.

Suppose you got a point there. Still, can't be all that bad, can it?
