[It's a huge cave full of lava. And rocks. And roads. And soldiers looking miserable in their armor. And Kefka, who hasn't ditched his ridiculous outfit despite it having more layers than pound cake, whose mere presence is terrifying all the soldiers into huddling together.]Soldiers! We've got reports that people are blurting out dark secrets, so ( Read more... )

Well, at least you've found a way to turn this virus amusing.

...fiction?

Nice to see someone's enjoying it.

Fiction. Noun.

Considering the amount of secrets being spilled, someone ought to.

And how exactly are you fictional? I've seen you in the flesh before. [As Cefca, but same principle.]

Whatever, Daddy's boy.

I can be fictional and real at the same time. Woolsey is real to me, but it's a story on Earths.

Oh, dear. I hope the community isn't trying to rob you of all your friends with this playful little virus.

[He sounds so flippant and dreamy about it, like it's no big thang. But then his tone hardens.]

Don't you dare look into my story. Whatever it is.

Oh, you say it so lightly. You ooze charm out every pore, you've got a friend in every nook and cranny of your little world.

[Kefka sniffs, running a hand through his ponytail.]

Even if I could, I wouldn't. Everything from our set of worlds is blanked out to me on the Earth encyclopedias. I've got the plot of the first third of mine and nothing else.

People such as ourselves don't need friends. I can hardly stand most people on this planet.

You're not meant to know your destiny. It's up to you to make it; only then will it show itself to you. Though, I think you'll enjoy it, from the acts I've seen.

Perhaps not friends, but someone to talk to.

I'll make my own destiny; the one I think I'm going to get sounds like the one I was planning on anyway. It'll be a fun adventure!

Yes, I'm terrible, I'm well aware of it.

I do know what it is! I know what game I'm from, the platform for it, and all that. It's pretty interesting!

I'm the villain! It's my job. I'm full of evil magic, I worship evil gods, my boss looks like Stalin, I have an insatiable urge to listen to screams of pain and I look like a clown. Could I be any other way?

Oh, you have one in your house? That's so cool! I'd love to meet the people who play against me, but I can't because I only know about the fourth wall from here.

It's pretty confusing sometimes.

What the... what the hell is wrong with you?! Even if you have your "own rules" in another world or something, your world has to have some kind of rules, or... or legal system or something to handle thieves!

[Kefka clears his throat, then recites rote:]

By order of the Emperor Gestahl of the great Gestahlian Empire, Court Mage Sir Kefka Palazzo is to be considered the law of the land of whatever base he's serving at, save if the Generals who outrank him are there.

And your response to every offense is the death penalty?!

Nah; if I did that, half the army would be dead! I just do it every now and then to remind everyone to not disobey the Emperor.
