A lot further. This goes beyond killing without remorse. This is killing without a purpose; a rhyme or reason.

This is killing as a recreational sport.

That seems to be a popular answer. This guy shows a complete absence of even the basic knowledge of remorse. It's almost like he's playing a game; proving a point. I'm just not sure what that point is yet.

I don't think anyone could really become a monster. You'd have to do everything against the very nature of being a person.

By your definition, there are a lot of monsters running around free.

Most of the monsters I've seen were because of war but there were also people who killed because they liked it. They didn't care who it was or who it hurt. They were monsters. I hope there aren't a lot of people like that in your world.
