Tell me, my friends... what is honor to you?

Being true to yourself and keeping your word to everyone else.

Why?

And if you lie often?

Curiosity, mostly. I find myself with little to do tonight.

I don't know about lying and honor. I'm not sure you can be honorable and lie?

Oh, I see.

Do you think I'm honorable, Miss Winry?

We're currently staying in a little village and it seems we'll be here for a few days to rest and recover. I grow bored looking at the ceiling.

Being loyal to your friends and beliefs.

And if your beliefs change?

People do not change their beliefs so easily. Something has to happen for those to change, and of course your honor will change along with it.

When does it stop being honorable?

I have tried to understand the nature of honour for some time myself.

I think to be a man of honour is to be a man of strength, and one who does what one knows to be correct, regardless of the personal cost.

At least, that is what the man who taught me of it was like, so I must draw upon his example.

You don't have your own example?

My origin is rather unusual. It took me a long time to comprehend many things which others take for granted, such as emotions. Now that I understand what honour is, I strive to live in an honourable manner.

Doing what's right and sticking with your friends.

Ah, but isn't what's right different for everyone?

Not really. Like, everybody's got the same ideas about what's right. And if you're good at making friends, you'll never have to decide between being right and being true to them, because they'll have the same idea of what's right!

And if what someone thinks is right means bad things for others?

Guess it's all about perspective.
