It is my pleasure and relief to tell you that my mystery of the wax-faced man has been solved. Of course, the method of solving said mystery was no simple feat. While visiting my friend, Lord Akeldama the other night, we were both kidnapped by the wax creature and some other men. It was soon revealed that the wax-faced man was in fact an homunculus; an automaton created by science. Our real abductors were the scientists of the Hypocras Club, a particularly mad group of men researching paranormals and the working of souls. Their...experiments were far from tasteful to say the least.
It seems that my kidnapping was quite ill-informed. It was actually Lord Akeldama they were after, and I simply happened to be around him quite often. Somehow the club also managed to kidnap Lord Maccon in full wolf form on the full moon. I would consider it an amazing task for the scientists, were I not so disgusted with them.
After much struggle in the Hypocras Club we were able to stop the automataon and the rest of the scientists within the club, and the...survivors were turned over to BUR. Lord Akeldama was in bad shape from the experiments performed upon him, but thankfully his group of drones are very clever and found us just in time to help him.
As you can imagine, all of those involved are quite tired.
Oh. And I suppose it would be only proper to mention that I am to be married before the summer.
