There was another attack from the wax-faced man last night. I had been sleeping soundly in my bed when I was awoken by a great clamour outside my window. I went to see what it was and there was that man, or rather creature, with the wax face once again. It would seem he had come in an attempt to abduct me once again. Thankfully Lord Maccon had a ( Read more... )

Do you have any idea why he's trying to abduct you?

Unfortunately, no. He has said nothing during our two "meetings". I wonder if he could speak at all...

That's not good! At least I know why Envy would take me.

It is quite troublesome, to say the least. I can only guess at what he could want and none of my guesses are pleasant.

If he's made of wax, can you melt him down?

He is too strong to only be made of wax. I believe the wax is only the exterior layer of the creature.

That's a problem. Do you and the BUR have the resources to actively go after this waxface or are you stuck on defense? And why would it wear a waxy mask?

It would be most improper for me to do anything about it. Not that I don't wish to do just that. However, BUR is doing all the can at the moment, but I'm sure there are other problems they must attend to as well.

As for the wax, I don't know if I would call it a mask. It is more of a false face. It is rather difficult to explain without seeing it firsthand.

Why not just set this creature or man on fire?

There is more to it than just wax. There is something much stronger underneath. I have a feeling it would keep moving even without it's waxy exterior.

I will keep the suggestion in mind, however.

A good burning stops many things; if the flame's strong enough. Even if it doesn't stop this being, it will at least give it pause.

Fair enough. I shall remember to carry a book of matches with me should I venture outside.

What is this wax faced creature? Do you know where he has come from?

I wish I could say that I do. However the creature remains a mystery. I intend to inquire about it with a friend of mine. He tends to know things that most others do not.

There may be answers to be found in the library of Minas Tirith. You will not be left to face this evil alone.

Thank you. Your offer is very kind. I do not know how accurate information from others worlds will be in my own, but any information is better than none at all. Anything you might be able to tell me on the matter would be most helpful.
