[ It's unintentional video post time! You see Karofsky at his locker; he shuts it and is about to walk away when Finn appears, dodging around some other students to get to where Karofsky is standing ]

Hey.

Hey. Congrats on the MVP.

Ah, thanks. It was a team effort. So, listen, uh... [ he looks a little unsure, hesitating before ploughing on] ( Read more... )

At least you tried? It takes guts to try and change pretty much anything about high school.

It's fine...I think I knew even before I found out about the affair that things weren't right. I just thought they'd muddle through it and it would all work itself out, especially after we moved to Iceland and they seemed to be getting on so well. Then we came back to Rosewood and...well, you know.

Sorry. I didn't mean to offload on you there.

Iceland? People actually live there?

It's okay! Sometimes you need to talk about that kind of stuff otherwise you end up feeling like you're gonna explode or something.

Mhm. It's a bit of an adjustment...okay, a lot of an adjustment. But after that it wasn't so bad.

That's true, I guess, but still. I guess trying to be the strong one doesn't always work out, huh?

Is it all icy and cold?

Not really.

Pretty much. Quite dark, too, when it's not summer. They don't really get a whole lot of daylight hours.

Huh. Weird. I don't think I'd like to live there.

Like I said, it's not so bad when you get used to it. I'm not sure I'd choose to move back there, though.

Why'd you move there in the first place?

Dad got a job there so we all moved to be with him.

Right. I guess I'm pretty lucky in that my mom's only ever worked in the one place. If my dad was still around we might have had to move around a bit more, maybe.

Really? How come?

Iceland's really the only time we've lived away from Rosewood. Though it's not really somewhere I see myself staying once I'm old enough to leave again.

He was in the army, so if he'd been stationed at different places we might've had to move with him. I think that's how it works anyway.

I've never lived anywhere but Lima, Ohio. It's not exactly party central, but whatever.

Maybe. I don't know, my friend's dad is military and she's never left Rosewood as far as I can remember. But maybe it's different for other families.

Yeah, Rosewood's...it's fine if you don't mind fitting into the specific image you're meant to so you don't "ruin" the town. Otherwise it can be a little stifling.

I don't really know.

Huh. Sounds...a little like Lima.

Really? Is Lima quite a small town too?
