The video opens on a restaurant. Its design is simple, elegant, obviously expensive, with soft lighting, a classic palette of dark woods, gold, cream, and crisp white linens. Crystal and fine silver sparkles at every table, and there's a susurrus of quiet voices and clinking dishes filling the bustling space ( Read more... )

Regarding...?

...Ah. Of course.

That may depend on what the question is.

This is very bold of me, but it looks as if you and Mr. Wright are out on a romantic date, sir!

And I asked the community... "what was the point of this video?" But it did not respond. Naturally.

Do you mind suggesting an inquisitive answer in the community's place, little brother? Surely you can explain the details.

I shouldn't think you'd need an explanation, Franziska. After the events of the past week, it should come as no surprise that we'd feel a celebration was in order.

... What are you talking about? Nothing of interest has happened during that time-frame.

Nothing of interest? This week saw the culmination of years of planning and campaigning, Franziska. Even without that, these changes will have a great impact on us all. You have as much of a reason to mark them as we do.

... Mr. Edgeworth? What's that for?

Wright hasn't already told you?

No... should he have? It looks like it's something very important...

I'd assumed he would be eager to. Perhaps he hasn't yet had the chance.

Well, this is one of those decidedly rare occasions when I have no desire to steal Wright's thunder. I'll leave the details to him, but I can confirm that this past week has been worthy of celebrating. We've achieved a great victory in our struggle to improve the justice system.

Well, what's all this about, then?

It's about success, Doctor...though I must say, this particular side of it wasn't intended for public broadcast.

No, I didn't think it was, somehow. So what is it you've been so successful with that you two feel you have to toast it, then?

I should think the answer would be obvious. After all, there aren't many things I ever feel the need to celebrate over.

What's the occasion?

The achievement of a modest but decisive victory in a struggle Wright and I have waged for the past several years. This result wasn't meant to be broadcast to all and sundry, of course, but in this case I'm finding it difficult to dredge up the same level of animosity towards the community that I usually feel over these violations.

Heh, there are worse things for it to intrude on, true. SO what happened exactly? Care to share?

Most of which I've already had splashed across the community, unfortunately.

Of course. Wright and I were finally able to bring about a change in our dangerously flawed court system. It's only one milestone among many yet to come, but it's an excellent start.
