I have a question for all of you!

How much do you think things will change fifty years from now? What will change? What will stay the same? No fair answering if you already know the answer! No peeking, yes?

Actually, in roughly eighty years, all of you die! Countries, I mean.

Oh, I used to say things like that. Still do. But it never seems to happen.

Well, where I'm from, there's no more Russia.

Where I'm from, there still is! It's fun how all this works, isn't it?

Come to think of it, I never even asked what year you're in.

It is good to look ahead, but not when it makes you neglect the present.

Two thousand and ten. When are you from?

I never forget my present. But the future will be better tomorrow.

What year is it for you, then? I wouldn't want to answer and accidentally spoil things for you...

Two thousand and ten. It feels like it should be earlier than that, still!

So. You're back, da?

Oh, it's a couple of years after that here. Not fifty, but still.

... I'm sorry. I don't remember being here before. I mean, I know I have been, it's just-

A complete blur.

I've been here before once, too. A very long time ago. It felt like fifty years. You know what I mean? Time passing slowly.

I don't remember much, either. Things are starting to come back together. In bits and pieces, but back together!

I see. I thought that might have happened!

What happens next? Do you know that part?

...a bunch of people have said what's gonna happen in the future but they all say different things.

Who said you had to listen to them, ah?

...nobody, I guess, but wouldn't they know better what's gonna happen?

Nobody knows anything any more. People predict all sorts of things, and none of them ever come true.
