I was underthe impression that accelerating faster than 10m/s/s would cause severe loss of traction problems, as you accellerated faster than gravity pulled you down.

Hence the amount of downforce produced by the rear spoiler and the pretty unique front spoiler. Which is why it's rear wheel drive as the picture clearly shows the front wheels coming off the ground :)
