I really love this fic and it has become one of my favourites!!!! You have done a wonderful job portraying House and Allison as parents of a handicapped child. They show such love and admiration for Caroline; that's really moving. One of my friends adopted a child three years ago; my nephew (because that's what he is for me), now 6, was abandoned by his real parents because he was deaf (can't you imagine it?). Now, after two major surgeries, his hearing has somehow improved and he's growing up like any kid his age. I've loved healping this kid, teaching him how to talk and seeing him develop his own personality. This experience has made me grow up as well and I have found an incredible respect for all the parents who face their kids' illness.
