Some news!

In video form! Because I think it's been a pretty good week and thought you might like something other than my usual.

Advance Warning! I apologise for looking like a beast: I'm not allowed to wear make-up for a couple of weeks. I am also proud of the fact that I managed to wash my hair in the shower without getting water in my eyes. Harder than ( Read more... )

Yeah, the short-lived laser war of 2010. Barely got any news coverage. Haha. I don't have really bloody eyes compared to some people. It's just a few little burst blood vessels from the suction device they use on your eye. I'm going to take a photo for posterity as soon as I find a camera that doesn't blind me. lol.

And aw, after 5 years Ireland is beginning to rub off on me. Cool. :D

That was fun!

I've been wanting to get Lasik, but was a little scared. So would you say it's been good so far? Is it something you would recommend?

Lovely house! I'm sure it will be even more lovely when furniture arrives! Haha...

It's been very good so far, and I would highly recommend it. The only major issue with it is the cost, as it can be really expensive. On the flipside, though, the procedure is well worth the cost. :P

My eyes were really light sensitive and fairly irritated immediately after the procedure, but they gave me sleeping tablets so I just went home and slept. When I woke up the next morning my eyes were perfect. It takes a few weeks to fully settle and heal, and there are some restrictions (like no water in the eyes, no make-up, etc), but for regular daily tasks like reading, driving, and using a PC they're good to go straight away.

As for our furniture, yeah, I'm sure it will look a lot better with real chairs. It will certainly feel more like home at any rate. And I can't wait to have the cupboards fitted in my room at the end of Feb, because I'm getting pretty tired of not knowing which box I stored my jewellery in, or my favourite top, etc. Hahaha.

I much like your accent! Jason's told me you've lived a few places around the globe, and I like the little hints your voice has seemed to acquire! I especially like how you pronounce "turquoise"! I admit it was fun listening to you at the cost of coming off a bit creepy. o_o

Good luck on that interview!

Thanks! Hahaha. Apparently Irish is starting to seep in there, but it's not one I can hear. Mixed upbringing has me sounding very strange indeed when I get tired and accents start exaggerating themselves. And hey! nothing's creepy on the internet any more.

And thank you!
