Wednesday was, hands down, the best day so far of my holiday.

Great to hear that you are not only having a well deserved and needed holiday but that it is a wonderful one too. Overload looks like overload! All those pieces! As for the chair - keep it warm for me! Enjoy this week too!

So far, so very good. Went and bought a lamp for the comic room, contemplated (and eventually passed on) a rug (I'll get one eventually, but this wasn't the right one), and spent most of the day relaxing in my chair, reading issues of Transformers: More than Meets the Eye and contemplating all the goodies on the shelves.

It's occurred to stareyednight and I that the last time I had comfortable seating in the comic room was 11 years ago, during the comic room's third iteration, when LJ was but a newborn babe. Ever since then it's been a succession of leftover chairs/couches, sofa beds required due to the room serving a dual purpose and, at times, no seating at all. I've put off buying a chair so many times, and would likely have done so again if not for mistress_vixn and thebagbunny being there to spur me on. I'm glad I've done it. The serenity I feel today, having spent so much time there... the inner peace and tranquility... is worth 10 times the price of the chair.
