Azula was up and screaming long before Iroh arrived; the only thing that changed when he came through the door was that her words suddenly became discernible.

"You can't keep me here! They'll notice I'm gone! They'll look for me! They're already looking!"

Despite the good treatment she had been given, Azula didn't look well-- she had been largely refusing it all. She hadn't eaten in days, her hair and clothes her a mess, and her eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep.

Iroh closes the door behind him calmly, the red-hued light shut away, leaving them only what shines through the windows. Unflinchingly, Iroh sits down at the table, sack set near his left hand. He reaches in and pulls out the plastic bag, not that he knows what it is entirely, but it seems to be food. He passes it across the table to her.

"You should eat."

She knocked it away, leaning forward to scream in his face; a wordless, furious sound that went on for as long as she could make it.

And Iroh sits there, letting her bellow herself hoarse if she wants, unblinking in the tide of her fury. Instead, he reaches into the sack again, after making sure it is well out of her reach, and brings her book out. It sits right in front of him, in clear view.

"I am willing to talk with you, Azula, but you must stop screaming first."
