He noticed immediately that the other man didn't fit the image of a stable hand, his overall appearance being a dead give-away under the more appropriate lighting. He took the offered hand and shook it firmly, noticing that the other's grip was a lot more similar to those of fighters than normal citizens. He guessed that he must have been one of those who normally went to the battlefield, though the air that he brought with him remind him of a noble or someone with a high rank. Percival, when he was on duty, carried the same aura about him, though he did drop it immediately when he was with friends and family ( ... )

"I'd be honored." he said, smiling back at him. It was rare that people would actually want to learn more about farming, and it pleased him. After all, farming wasn't exactly the easiest task in the world, he knew, but it was rewarding. More people these days seem to have a fondness for being adventurers or merchants, while he knew that many, especially the nobility, found farming to be a tedious task for the lower class. He didn't mind, after all. Who else would provide them with food otherwise? The fruits of their labor was worth a lot more than the opinions of men whose never had to soil their hands tilling the land.

He stayed quiet as he watched the sun rise, noting at the back of his mind that soon enough, some activity will start once the residents awake. It was always bustling with activity during the day, something he sometimes appreciated, though he preferred quiet moments like this.

Frey beamed at the brunette, clearly happy that he would get to learn something new (and something he otherwise probably never would have learned to do.) "Is there a particular time I should come by for that?" He asked, head tilted in curiosity.

When the sun was a little above the horizon, he peered at Barts. "I should probably go." He didn't want to interrupt the farmer's day anymore than he already had... plus the horses still needed tending to unless the staff had beat him to it.

"Any time in the day would be good, though I usually start working a little before the sun rises." he said, realizing that he should probably start working soon if he wanted to finish planting the initial seeds by the end of the day. It wouldn't do any good if he waited until the next day, after all.

"I need to get back to the farm as well. I guess I'll see you around, right?" he said, standing up from his position and offering a hand to Frey to help him up as well.

"All right." He said, nodding. It made sense... he'd met Barts before the sun rose, too. Frey smiled at his new friend and took the offered hand up.

"I will. I am glad to have met you, Barts." The Falenan royal said... hanging on to the brunette's hand long enough to give it a little shake before letting go. "Take care."

That said, he started making his way back to the stables.

"Take care now!" he called out to Frey, as he was headed to the stables, letting out an amused sigh. The fields weren't going to tend themselves, that was for sure. It was a good start for him though, that at least he's made a new friend while he was here. He had a feeling his stay here would be a little more interesting in a different way. His own feet directed him to the fields now that his company was gone, ready to start working on making sure it would be filled with a lovely set of crops before Spring ends.
