Evening, everyone! I have to get my 1,000 words in for the night, but before I do, let's discuss some things.
*
I don't know how many of you watched this Sunday night, but I hope I'm not the only one. I have to admit, I liked it. I really did. I like all the supernatural creatures populating this place, and I hope it's on long enough so I can learn their backstories. Stories like, how did the vampires wind up there, and what made them try to be normal? Are all the werewolves teenagers, or are their parents werewolves, too? What's up with the witch wars? And will the poor normal family figure all this out?
Yes, it's cheezy, but I am so in. Give me the drama.
* I also listened to my first Doctor Who audio, courtesy of
donna_c_punk. It was the first Eight and Charley story, and that made me happy.
You see, I remember seeing my dad watching the old school Who when I was little, but I never paid attention. I didn't pay attention until the 1996 TV movie so I didn't know it was bad at the time. All I knew was that I had a HUGE crush on Paul McGann's Doctor. And I was so sad when I never saw Eight again.
But with this audio, I fell in love all over again. (I need some icons.) More, please.
* And, now, it's time for the daily writing meme. Today's question is...
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
I have a lot of characters swimming in my head - originals and fanfic ones I like to write.
With original characters, I tend to lean more toward females. However, when Tristan (from WS) showed up, he wouldn't shut up. It probably didn't help that he looked like a young Gerard Butler in my head. But McKenna (also from WS) was pretty strong, too.
Now I have a teenage witch named Dani in my head and we're learning her story together.
With fanfic, I find myself exploring the male POV most of the time. I love female characters, and I love letting them shine, but sometimes, the guys take over. I can't explain it.
