i'm a sucker for vamps - and since i had this whole thing going about people who criticized new characters without seeing then (SPN) - i figured since i already compared Moonight to FK without even watching it i ought to take my own advice and try it. and i like it.

and i'm a sucker for vamps with a pretty face.

Um, actually, that would be Geraint Wyn-Davies who was the original as Nick Knight in 1992. ;) But Angel was pretty cool in his own right.

Alex is totally beautiful and sexy in just about every way possible. If I didn't like the show, I would still watch it however long it's on the air just to see and hear Alex. :)

Alex v. FNL is a tough choice. Can you tape one and watch the other? When I first got into FNL I watched the eps on line to get caught up, maybe they'll do that again this season.

I've stopped trying to pretend that my fascination with Alex O'Loughlin is based upon anything that resembles depth, like, at all. He's very charming, and he knows it. More to the point, he uses that as a stand-in for actually acting through pretty much the entire pilot and half of the second episode (but the moments when he did hit it were SO GOOD that I can't help but wonder if they were real or if I'm delusional). And yet, I still dig Mick in all of his manpainy, slightly dumb glory. I DON'T UNDERSTAND MY OVARIES ARE BETRAYING ME. *cries*
