There is an ostrich running around outside the window of my workplace. It's glaring menacingly at me, and I'm pretty sure I saw some monkeys hanging around in the trees earlier

I started reading this, and I thought to myself "I didn't know there were ostriches in Finland?!"... then I realized... hehehe... :-P

Well actually, there are.

But only in ostrich farms. My uncle has one.

hehehe... they must be chilly ostriches! :-P but I guess that's feasable on a farm... but not wandering around, I wouldn't imagine... :-P
