I am so sorry, Alli. I know how much you loved him. It brings a tear to my eye just hearing about it. You have had such a difficult year. But you are right about not letting him go through another winter. I remember how he was. Although he was weak he was still larger than life. My most profound and heart-felt sympathies go out to your family but most improtantly, you. I am always here if you need to talk. And I won't bug you about anything more, I promise you. Keep flashing that pretty smile for the world to see and show them how strong you can be.

aw. i'm sorry about patrick.

sometimes, doing the right thing totally sucks. i would want to be selfish with things like this, too. i'm glad your animals have you and your family to take care of them and do the right thing, though. i think having that is the main reason they were able to develop their personalities and be so damned endearing in the first place. even if they sometimes end up doing things like stealing people's stuffed animals and running away with them. or scaring the junk out of people by trying to run them over instead of going straight into the barn. or something like that. ;)
