I am NOT looking forward to high school report cards. Ick.

Also.... A baby at 16? Nooooooo! Poor guy. I already talk with Aislynn (in a very general sense, since she's only 7) about baby making. I hope I never have to deal with that.

Oh no, they're not pleasant! And you have very little input into their education at that point as well, so there's little you can do to rectify a situation that's potentially damaging to their grades.

Yeah, it's just a terrible situation. All three of my kids have been copping a hammering about safe sex (Maddy to a lesser degree), especially Mitch.

I hate it when subs come in, especially long-term subs. Almost ruined my senior year for me. :(

I'm quite irritated about it, because they have this subject once a week, and she is in the school, taking her flexi time. Over here, your senior year spans two years as far grades and work accumulation goes, so he's basically one semester down, with three to go, in his senior year.

That's right, "too late for change" isn't good enough. Especially when you have the proof. *growls*

I'll be sending encouragement for his English. I think he'll bring it up to par. *nods*

Ohmygoodness, bless her heart. Quite a lot to take on at 16. :/

Well, she found the proof herself! I'm not happy at all and she's going to hear all about it when I meet with her.

I can only hope he can bring it up, because a D isn't going to make it. I know he's never been strong in English and it is a lot to ask of him, but it's necessary.

Very much so. She's scared. I'm on her emergency call list, because I'm the only one who works from home, so I can be there in ten minutes.

*snerk* I know she is in for a good awakening. Don't mess with our boys. We put lots of time and effort in them, and it isn't nice when one just passes that over. ;)

*sends lots of good thoughts for Mitch*

WOW. Aren't you the precious friend? To be on call for that particular thing is quite selfless. *hugs tight*

No, it's not (in fact, it's dangerous to one's health *wink*). Besides, this can affect his overall grades at the end of next year for graduation, so I won't be going easy on her at all.

Well, she's so young and scared, and I'm the only one who 'works' close enough to be able to be there in ten minutes or less. We're just worried about her coping when everyone is at work... If the baby is upset and she can't manage sometimes it's just good to have another set of not stressed arms to take the little one for a few minutes.

*hugs*

Ugh for subs. Good news is that he only has to buck up his English. Go, Mitch! You can do it!

16 years old? Man! That's so terrifying!

This sub is going to get a kick in the arse, even if I have to administer it myself *nods* English has always been a huge challenge for him, so I hope he can at least manage a C.

It's really terrifying! Her life has changed forever now and there's no going back.
