Frustration and whining

I am normally totally okay with the fact that there are things I can't do. For example, I cannot: do a pull-up, speak or read German, solve for a derivative (without a reference book), talk to my brother like a normal person, etc, etc ( Read more... )

I can't draw either. The only thing I could almost sort of do in art class was calligraphy, because that just involves copying mostly. No actual artistic skill. It kind of sucks to be a kid and unable to draw, but I always said to myself, "Well, maybe you can't draw, but you can play piano, so that's OK, right ( ... )

Is it strange that I first had the thought that I could try to help by drawing designs you described, and then immediately decided I'd probably screw up horribly and you'd kill me out of frustration? I've never tried to draw from description, but it sounds hard. :x

Now, now. I'm a teacher-- I have training in not kiling people out of frustration! But I admit, it would probably be very hard, if not impossible, to get the right effects. Stupid brain.
