The good news: I've finished assembling the base and the left sleeve. All the remaining pieces are cut out. (I just barely had enough fabric, I can't believe that over six yards was needed just for the base!) The Tailoring and darts fit wonderfully and it is made of sheer awesome ( Read more... )

Let me tell you first and fore most. Heat setting nine ounce leather is NOT fun. My hands are currently covered in burns and blisters from dipping leather in to near-boiling water. Ouch.

We'll I've officially started on my Epic Quest To make my pirate outfit. I get to go in about two and a half weeks to pick up most of my fabric.
