This concept of love confuses and infuriates us

For those of you keeping track (perhaps none of you, but I'll ramble on just for spite), I'm back from Virginia.  It was a nice, if extremely short, trip.  My little sister is now married.  I really hope life is good for them.  The only bone I have to pick is that with her married, I'm left the only "unsettled" member of my family.  My brother's ( Read more... )

Well you know, it is like they say, Virginia is for lovers, then again it's for pimps, crack whores , con artists and of course politicians:)
I come from a family of 9 so i know all too much what you mean by unsettled, but that's just it, you should not settle, you should look for those qualities in a person that you think you are going to be able to work with an meld into you're own life because it is a horrible amount of legwork.
Dating a person on an off does not necessarily make for a good marriage, it sounds like it might have sounded like a good idea at some drunken moment in the evening. I'm teasing but, seriously it does happen.
I found your particular user name delightful while doing a region search.
So, what kind of art do you produce? Do you have no pictures of the creations to wow and amaze?
Independence is truly a beautiful thing (especially if you have kids) :)

I'm actually quite fond of Virginia, but it no doubt has certain faults. Just like anywhere else.

I couldn't stand to settle and I'm in no hurry, so it's not really a problem, just a little frustrating sometimes. A commitment like marriage isn't something that should ever be a compromise. I think my sister and her husband have a good chance if they're prepared. At any rate, it was her decision and I wish them the best. :)

Thanks for dropping by my journal. I'm always surprised to be stumbled upon by strangers, lol. I produce a plethora of art types. Mostly I'm into traditional 2-dimensional media, but I like trying my hand at other things. My deviantART page can be found here http://mystictriana.deviantart.com should you feel inclined to visit. That's where I dump a lot of my "just for fun" projects, but a few more serious items have found there way there as well.

So what's your story?
