Bummed

Just heard from the Merchant Steward at Potrero that they are full. So my application didn't get in early enough. I'm sooo bummed out about this. Really-really. I was planning to go and have a blast. Now that we are down to the wire in our move in, funds are at an all time low, or stretched to the limit. I'm quite upset about this. I'll get over it ( Read more... )

That SUCKS! But you know the old saying... everything has a reason... something good will come of it.
I hope that the Poppy Festival rocks for you so you will make enough to ease the move

Really full? jschonbr April 21 2009, 18:01:19 UTC
Hmm... Do they have an option where you can vend from your tent/encampment? In years past they have had overflow options.

I know for certain that my campsite will have plenty of extra "pre-allocated" space, if you wanted to give that an option.

This is still a little fishy, as they typically have several no-shows, did you ask about a waiting list or anything like that?

Sorry to hear, but as I like to say, "Hope springs eternal"...!

I don't know; she just sent me an email saying that they were full and she's sorry the timing did not work out for me. With our house fire, etc, we really can't afford to go and not vending. I would make enough money to pay for the trip that way; otherwise it is a no-go.

Honestly I should be unpacking my house that time anyway. We are considering other options for that time off, I guess.

My $0.02 -tell them to suck your gargantuan balls and then vend from your tent. If they don't want to accept your vendors fee, then vend anyways.

Bear in mind, I've never done the SCA, and have major trouble with anyone telling me what I can or cannot wear.

And yes, I'm aware that you probably don't have gargantuan balls. I'm sure you'll find a substitute.

Sorry to hear. I know how it is though. I wanted to head up to Fanime in San Jose, which I did have the table for... but then poof. RL happens, I need to have my AC fixed, etc...
