Lute Holes!
My gentleman-friend shared this website with me when he found out that there are musicians that commonly play modern acoustic guitars in the SCA, being that actual lutes are extremely cost-prohibitive. I have passed it on to a few people, but I suddenly thought that there might be other Scadians in the wonderful world of LJ who would be interested

I bought my honey an oud (lute-like instrument; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oud), but he has yet to do any real playing on it, apparantly it's a pain in the rear to tune...he'll be much more likely to play guitar, and those are PRETTY!
I feel an xmas present coming on.....
