In which I am being clever and then my head explodes.

I'm currently freaking out about a presentation I've been procrastinating on too long (I blame die_monster , if she was around she would have made me work by now, bawww), so clearly the answer is more procrastination! In the form of writing down thoughts on the Doctor Who finale, mostly questions/plot holes that I noticed or have seen around LJ, and my ( Read more... )

ramblings, doctor who, rp, the tardis deserves her own tag, squeeage

I don't think the TARDIS actually landed whilst River was piloting her. When there's a catastrophic failure in her systems, she'll seal off the console room, which is what I took the stone wall to be when River tried opening the door.

Yeah, River at the wedding made me kind of :| because she had that look of 'I KNOW SOMETHING' but she ... couldn't. At all.

I'm not gonna lie, I almost wish they'd done a novel plot with the TARDIS exploding, because I love the Eighth Doctor Adventures and I think it'd be awesome to have him trying to find her throughout time and space, but alas, they just had her explode a lot and it made me flail ; ;

Rory makes up for everything that doesn't make sense, though. Because Rory is amazing and you've no idea how much I squeed when he became a permanent member of Eleven's Team TARDIS.

Hmm, I suppose so. River told the Doctor she'd landed before trying to get the doors open, but what does she know. XD

Aaaah I need to read Ancestor Cell. But since I haven't, I thought the exploding a lot was amazing and horrible and bawww omg.

I'm pretty sure I have a good idea of how much you squeed about Rory, because I kept thinking he wouldn't get to come (or live, for that matter) BUT THEN HE DID AND THEY'RE ALL GOING TO BE MARRIED IN SPACE AND AWESOME TOGETHER EEEE. I could not believe how happy the ending was.

Yeah, but River also said something else was controlling the TARDIS so how would she know she landed? (Also, totally holding out for whoever was controlling her? To be an Eternal or the Guardians or Omega or something.)

You doooo ohmygosh I love that book. And that series. And just ... osudgbousbg that would be such an awesome plot line for the show and then we might get a Compassion and just sodubgosbg /fangirls

As it was, though, exploding definitely made me baaaw.

RORY IS LIKE MY SECOND FAVOURITE NEW WHO CHARRIE AFTER WILF and just ... he was the Centurion and then he stayed and they got married and he's so derp and adorable and they both said good-bye to Earth and they get to stay the awesome threesome of awesomeness that they are and osubdgousbo I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS FINALE I CAN'T EVEN

Why were there baddies at the Pandorica that the Doctor hadn't even messed with yet, from their point of view, like the Silurians and the Sycorax?

Well, but the Daleks do have time travel, and since they're all allied and so forth in this story, I figured that the Daleks loaned out their tech or something.

As to where the TARDIS landed at the end of TPO, no idea. It still had to be June 26 2010, though, because we know that's the point in time when the TARDIS exploded (the origin point in time, rather).
