Never-ending Death to The Most Faithful Companion?

Sheesh, every time someone knocks against the staircase railing in the hallway, it sounds like the Cloister Bell and makes me think bad things are about to happen. Which totally fits the reason I'm writing this.

This rumor/spoiler/whatever is making me very sad. Specifically the part about ( (hopefully not) possibly spoilery )

Ugh, I saw that and hated it too. It makes no sense at all to kill off the TARDIS! I mean, she is the only visual constant on the show (her outside, at least), she represents it. Blue box = Doctor Who, they can't change that now! Of course a new TARDIS could turn into a box just like it but if he grew a new TARDIS why would he break the chameleon circuit again? And there's also the fact that the TARDIS is frakking sentient! I mean, it's just wrong to kill her off. Not to mention completely pointless because he'd just grow a new one anyway. Grrr, that rumor makes me angry too, as you can probably tell. ;p

Yeah, it's just really really messed up and terrible. It already killed my excitement for the last special. :(

The German/American videos are neat, though I hope you don't think everyone in the US says 'ya'll' o_0.
Cool to hear about some more differences - my favorite false cognate with German and English is 'gift' - I'm surprised they didn't bring it up!

Hee, no, I know "y'all" is just a southern thing - I get exposed to it whenever I visit my friend in Georgia. I think it's a bit cute, but I could never use it myself. And I don't think it's an American stereotype in Germany, at least I didn't know about it until I visited my friend. My favorites are "pommes frittes" and "handy", I totally fell for those on my first day in the US. XD

I also read those spoilers today (I think there also was a second bunch later on), and really loved all of them. As as far as the TARDIS one goes, it also immediately reminded me of Caan's prophecy. Still, I think that maybe at least part of our old TARDIS will remain, and maybe then a "new" one will be regrown. It would still kind of be our Old Girl then. :)

I dunno, I guess I'd have to make do with that kind of comfort. The other rumors are nicer though, yeah, seeing more of Gallifrey would be fun.
