May I say that is brilliant marketing on the Hilton's part, even if it's ridiculously expensive, it's convenient enough for some people that they won't shy at the price.

I've stayed there the past 4 years, and every time I've requested a fridge at check in (Thursday afternoon or so), I've always gotten one. However, they do charge you for it, something in the $10-20 per night range. So this year I'm just bringing my own. Overall it's a quiet hotel but good proximity to the Marriott. Staff is pretty helpful, gym and pool are open during con. And their Hilton Honors is worth it because after a few night's stay, you've already gained enough points to get nights for about half price. In fact, I got Wednesday night added on for $50!

I stay at the Hilton every year. I like it because it's right in the thick of things, but at night, it's not as crazy as the Marriott.

Rooms
- The rooms are typical Hilton rooms (nice, but nothing special). They each have a safe that can hold a couple laptops (it's in the closet), but there's no fridge unless you got an upgraded room. I don't know if the hotel would object to you bringing a mini fridge. If it's against their policy and you wanted to bring it anyway, just don't let cleaning service into the room and I'm sure it'd be fine ;)
- If you want wifi in your room, they charge like $15/day per device. There's free wifi in the lounges, though ( ... )

This is all very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to type out this info!

Do you happen to know if we can leave our cars past noon on Monday (checkout)? Is it allowed? I understand they will charge us $21 again probably past noon, but should I actually move my car because my parking is no longer valid.. or?

Sorry, I don't know about the parking because we fly in for Dragon Con.

I have left my car in the parking garage until late on Monday and it wasn't a problem. Ask for late check-out on Monday and you should be fine ( ... )

You paid extra for Monday parking then, right? As in - $21 for the day? Just checking!

Thanks for all the info.

Bring Your Own Fridge Myth confirmed! We have brought our own mini-fridge on multiple DragonCon trips to that Hilton. Not only did no one mind, but the Bellhop helped us find a good spot to set it up. He plugged it in as soon as it was in place, then opened it to check that it was getting power (yay the little light is on!), then asked if we'd like directions to the nearest grocery store via MARTA.

Liquor is a problem. The hotel is required by law to chare a "corking fee" if a citizen brings in their own liquor ( ... )

Thanks! That's good to know about the fridge and alcohol, haha. I need to remember to bring the multi-plug for sure.
