It's in the old Brooks Brother store. The main entrance is looking out on Peachtree Street towards Starbucks. Basically next to the steps from the street leading down to the Marta station.
i'm do excited! if anyone local could post pictures, i'd be ecstatic! :-) The bigger CVSs basically have half a grocery store in there, i really hope it's a big one. :-D :-D :-D
I did a walk-through today. I stand my my thoughts that the store is an average size store.
The store has 2 floors. The pharmacy, medical supplies, vitamin, etc. is downstairs. The cosmetics and household stuff is upstairs. The drink, snack and cold prepared foods section (think pre-made sandwiches) is split between upstairs and downstairs. The frozen food section (think hot pockets, lean cuisine, frozen pizza and ice cream) is upstairs. The general grocery section (think cereal, can o' meat, soups, etc.) is upstairs as well - along with Cigarettes.
Prices are higher than other CVS stores I've seen. That is to be expected as it is in Downtown.
Ya... The CVS store already forced the pharmacy that was at Peachtree Center to close. Based on what I'm seeing, I think the snack place on the next to the cookie place will be closing as well. They have not announced it but they were just selling everything at 50% off. So we gain one and lose one.
The Newstand is officially going away. Mose of the store is now empty. As for La Grange (the store next to Benihana's), I don't see them going anywhere. Most of their business consists of Lottery sales. Plus with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea on the 21st floor, I see them filling a unique niche.
