Sheraton

This will be my first year staying at the Sheraton and I just wanted to see if anyone cared to share their experiences with the hotel in the past? Are the rooms clean? Any spacing issues? Noise level? That kinda thing. Thanks!

I stayed at the Sheraton two years ago the double bed room was a little small for four people, but other than that it was great, it's far enough removed from the frenzy of the con that noise was not a problem. the staff was nice and the parking on site is great.

I've stayed there in the past and I really liked it. The staff was super polite and helpful and it's far enough away from the insanity of the main hotels that it was actually quiet and calm when I wanted to sleep. Because of that, I actually prefer the Sheraton to the Marriott or the Hyatt or the Hilton.

I've stayed at the Sheraton for the last three years without any problems. It's quiet, the elevators aren't impossible to snag, and the staff is very helpful and polite.

I'll echo a bit of what's said above. We've stayed there two years in the past, in a double room. The room's a bit small, but not uncomfortable. It's clean and well supplied, and they have a good business interent center on the 2nd floor by the restaurant and deli, which stays open late (I think to around 2 AM?) and the staff *really* gets into D*C, to the degree they half wear costumes themselves. The wait for the elevator is long, compared to anywhere OUTSIDE D*C, but a blink of an eye compared to the Marriott or Hyatt. Downside- If you're sharing the room, be comfortable with the other people. The bathroom doors don't swing, but slide, shut, and sometimes not quite completely. Also the toilets are incredibly water efficient to the point where, um, you're not really sure they work. Strangely, that's just in the private rooms. The public restrooms are your typical fare ( ... )

Yeah, the not-locking but sliding bathroom door was an issue for me (only girl in a room with like 6 guys >.>; ) and also the fact that the walls were paper thin so that you could hear EVERYTHING happening in the bathroom from the rest of the room. For me, it wasn't worth the quiet, away from the con atmosphere.

Just echoing what's been said...I've stayed at the Sheraton for the last three years and will not even consider going elsewhere! Customer service is great, it's quiet compared to the other hotels, and you don't have to wait a million years for an elevator. Highly recommended!
