parking for parde viewing?

I only know the parade as a con-goer. Some friends of mine want to come to downtown Atlanta early on Saturday, park their car, and go watch the parade. Can anyone recommend a good parking lot or deck? I know they'll be able to find something if they drive around long enough, but it'd be great if I could direct them somewhere. Thanks!

The Underground parking deck may be an option. They would have to take MARTA from 5 points to P'tree Center station to get to the parade site, but it's only one stop, so it could be doable.

When my relatives come to see the parade last year they just took MARTA in - it's just easier that way.

I agree. finding parking downtown for any event is a pain. Better to take Marta

Chiming in on the MARTA recommendation. Even if they have to drive a bit to get to a MARTA station, it's still better than trying to find parking in the madhouse of Dragoncon weekend! Esp the day of the parade! Even if they did find a place, it would cost a bloody fortune.
